NYC Fashion Stylized Shoot

As an artist, it is important to constantly evolve. From looking into the style that I apply towards photographing weddings, which is a totally different world. It is more emotion-filled, romantic and mostly run-and-gun. I have always wondered to where my style of work will grow to. One the genres that I’ve looked in to is fashion.

I had the opportunity to collaborate and photograph an amazingly talented designer and fashion stylist from NYC, Yael Steren. I planned for this fashion shoot towards the end of my New York City trip. As I wanted to make most out of the day while I was in New York, visiting the Brooklyn Bridge and Prospect Park. Although the fashion shoot was still a bit indefinite by the time I was on the bus leaving from Philadelphia, I was still up for it in case it materialized. Due to my model was not feeling well the day before. But luckily the stars aligned, things fell in to place and a terrific sunny day to was provided to be around downtown New York City. We mostly went around Washington Square Park, which was really beautiful even it was a bit crowded. Yael describes the look as being “ A different twist on the denim on denim trend.”

After going around the block, we went up on the rooftop in one of the condominiums. The view was just stunning! As soon as I got myself back together from the mesmerizing view. We finished the session with some NYC skyline in the background which was a beautiful ending to a beautiful day.

I’m really glad with the results as it is my first time photographing in an editorial fashion style. She was such a stunning model. Hopefully I can improve upon it and apply it towards my wedding photography work. It would be such an amazing feat to photograph a wedding in New York someday.
