To tell their story better. Let’s hear from the words of our super wedding planner Mandy of Events by Rainstein Design!

“Sierra and Daryl met their senior year of high school, through a twitter hashtag for the incoming freshman at West Virginia University. They started dating that year. “I knew Daryl
was the one in college. There was no one else I wanted to tell my good news and bad, no one else I felt more comfortable to truly be myself around”, says Sierra.

Daryl was drafted in 2016 to the Carolina Panthers, and these two college sweethearts set off for Charlotte together. Sierra recalls one of their most memorable dates, when the pair took a helicopter tour of the city after a romantic dinner. It was surreal, gazing down upon what would be a new beginning, and part of our journey in life together.

Super mom, Sierra Simmons, and NFL star, Daryl Worley, have traveled the country the past four years. After a long engagement, and now parents of two, these Philadelphia natives decided to make their dream wedding come to life, and started planning last Fall. They were immediately drawn to the style and elegance of the Ballroom at the Ben’s (Finley Catering), and made that venue their number one pick. “It was fun planning the wedding. Because of the help of my wedding planner extraordinaire, Mandy Rainstein, I never felt overwhelmed. It felt great completing tasks and checking things off the list!.”

Like many others, Sierra and Daryl’s June 19th wedding was ultimately postponed. After the initial shock, they remembered the reason they wanted to be married in the first place. They loved each other, and wanted to express that love by taking the next big step in sharing their lives together. “We said, why wait”, and decided to elope!

The day came to exchange vows, and Sierra woke up with butterflies. The photography team with Ryan Eda Photography, arrived early to capture the “getting ready” and detail photos. “I put on my dress (Asos Bridal) and it felt perfect”, says the bride. The anticipation was growing, as her and Daryl decided to spend their morning separately to focus on their thoughts and appreciation. Their New Jersey backyard was transformed into their ceremony landscape, and a tall copper frame with lush greens and flowers was created (Events by Rainstein Design) as backdrop for their nuptials. Daryl stood patiently dapper in his Amin Standard suit, as Sierra made her grand walk towards him. He caught his first glimpse of his bride and thought to himself, “how did I get so lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with someone who’s outward beauty matches the inside. When I took her arm, it was like we began walking into our future together.” They said their “I do’s” in front of both sets of parents, their two children, Daryl’s two best friends, and of course, their entire bridal party on group FaceTime! It didn’t take place in a ballroom, or witnessed by 200 guests, but it was “incredible”.

Amid cheers from loved ones, the new Mr. and Mrs. celebrated with a champagne toast and a traditional cake cutting (Nutmeg Cake Design), then were finally whisked away to the city in a Rolls Royce Phantom (Ali Baba Limo). After a few amazing photo ops around Philly’s iconic landmarks, “we spent the rest of that weekend on our ‘mini moon’! Staying at a the Ritz-Carlton and dining outside each evening made it extra special”!”

Micro wedding First Look

As the name implies. Even with the micro wedding, though it is much simpler planned day, there was no compromise with style, fashion and showing the world their love for each other. At private residence, we were able to capture some gorgeous detail and getting ready images.

For this micro wedding, their backyard provided a beautiful and intimate backdrop of greenery. Where they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, popped champagne, and shared a sliced of delicious cake.
