2014 has been such a spectacular year for us. We have met a lot of amazing couples and documented a special time in their lives, the start of their family. Also met a lot of new colleagues and inspiring people in the wedding industry. Which just motivates us to get better and improve our business.

We would like to reflect back on some of the imagery that we have created and captured. We have picked them by our personal choice and how special they were to us and also, added a little bit to say about the images. Enjoy!

Top ten images of the year:

10. Becky & Giuseppe – This wedding during the summer was all about a fun upbeat bride, groom and bridal party. We took some photos across the venue (literally) with a nice open field. As they crossed the street to get back, we took advantage and had them add some personality and fun in the shot. More from this Bacco wedding here.

09. Steph & Dustin – At a Barn Wedding that was coming down to a close. We asked the bride and groom for our final shots of the night. Our vision was a romantic shot and as we found the spot where to take it. We saw a bright smile on their faces and told us how much they loved the image after we showed them the back of the camera, which is always a rewarding feeling when you see a couple light up like that. That day wouldn’t be possible without Scott Michael. Thank you for letting us accompany you on the that day.

08. Styled Shoot with Jen Ndini – This shoot was very recent and was coordinated with the Celebrations Wedding Facility, an amazing venue of choice for brides in the Bensalem Area. Part of the theme was to showcase the elegant features of the facility, for this one we included the chandeliers they had. Plus we had a David Tutera dress for this shoot and with the beautiful Jen, we were so excited about all the images that we got. The mood for this shot was a bit more of a solemn moment of a bride.

07.  Josh & Naida at Abington Arts center – During the timeline planning of their wedding, the groom had discussed with me that he wanted to have their candid photos at the Abington Arts center, which was a location near and dear to their hearts. It was a part of the early stages of their relationship, so then I made a mental note of creating something that showcased the location. When their wedding day came around, we got this shot as we were coming down the hill on our way to the woods. Funny side story was a kid that approached and talked to us really fascinated, as he told us that he never saw anybody getting wed in his life. More from this Pegasus Hall wedding here.

06. Mickey and Jessica’s Engagement Party – Six months after the proposal, during this cultural engagement party, even though it was rainy, we had asked the bride and groom for one more image as the evening was ending, we really liked adding the element of rain to the image because that was originally how the day happened. So we headed outside for one image to represent the day, a very sweet moment for the couple having the time of their lives as they look forward to their wedding coming up next year. More from this Philadelphia Engagement Party here.

05. Mickey Jessica –  It was that evening in July 4th where we got hired to document the proposal of Mickey to Jessica at the Schuylkill River on board the boat named The Patriot. That was such an amazing event that we have captured for them. And after she said yes, the boat anchored down to see the fireworks show by Philadelphia art Museum. We had an amazing view of it as you can see. Engagement fireworks More from this Philadelphia Engagement proposal here

04. Frank & Kim’s Farm Wedding – During the later part of the Barn Wedding, as the fireworks were going off, set by the bride and groom’s brothers at the same time as the sparklers were being lit up by another group nearby. I told myself, I quickly had to make a choice on what to capture, fireworks or sparklers, I could’ve done both but ended up with okay shots. But knowing myself I’d rather have something that I know would look way better than just getting both shots that would just be looking mediocre due to not much creativity put in to it, the “quality over quantity” mantra which I always strive for. So I immediately asked Kim and Frank to get a closer view of the fireworks and enjoy the moment. This one symbolized everything about that day. Kim and Frank looked the happiest as they celebrated this joyous event of their lives. More from this farm wedding here. and here.

03. Trish & Miguel Celebrations Wedding – Before the wedding day, the bride had told me that they had never slow danced together. So during their wedding, I wanted to commemorate that. The venue had the fountain and gazebo outside their garden. And during that evening as we were taking out last shots of the night, we simply took them to the gazebo and have a romantic moment there. 02. Kat & Ryan Philadelphia engagement session –  This shot we believe, is our signature style, featuring a beautiful couple, Kat and Ryan, with the beautiful skyline of Philadelphia. This one exudes a romantic and cinematic feel, which is a huge part of our inspiration for our imagery. We are excited for their destination wedding in June 2015, even though we won’t be covering the event, we know that it will be an amazing day for them. 01. NYC Fashion Inspired Bridal Shoot – From one of our New York City trips this year. We were in collaboration with the awesome Anelisa Durham and Selda Cortes (for make up.) We were partnered up with amazing International Photographer Brett Florens as we went from West Village NYC area to the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge for this night time stylized bridal shoot. This image landed us a feature in a magazine for photographers Behindtheshutter.com. More from this Bridal shoot here.
